- TRIVIA AFTERNOON (19 June 2010)
There were 22 players who turned up to do battle at our trivia afternoon. Anne Mangin helped with collecting of entrance fee and handing out lucky door prize tickets. Margaret Smith was the winner.
Teams were formed and Lesley Sanders started the afternoon off with the first round of questions. My junior helpers were Georgia Sanders and Ethan Cain. Georgia helped her mother with recording each table's total. Darrell Sanders was the time-keeper.
After each round, the winning table received presents (lucky dip) taken around by Ethan. After 6 exciting rounds, the winning table was No 5. Then each table picked a person to play in the Trivia Championship Round. Players were Carol Weller, Noelleen Mitchell, Doris Morrissey and Christina McDonald. Lesley started the questions, boy they were hard. Each table cheered on their player. After 10 questions, papers were swapped and the answers were read out. The champion was Carol Weller, whose name has been entered into our Trivia Champion Book. Thanks to all participates.
A great afternoon. Many thanks to all those people who helped putting the tables back and generally cleaning up the room afterwards. I couldn't have done it all. Comments heard as players left were "WHEN IS THE NEXT TRIVIA AFTERNOON".

MAJOR RAFFLE (19 June 2010)
Raffle was drawn on the 19th June, 2010 and the winner was Keith Willimott. Keith was very excited when told of his win.
Raffle raised $1,138.00. My thanks to all those people who bought tickets and a special thank-you to Andre Nightingale for his kind donation of the computer for our prize.
