Computers |
The computer classes are part of 32 week course consisting of four modules, each of eight weeks duration. Classes run for 8 weeks per term, 4 terms per year. See our Program for more information.
To enrol, call in at our office between 9:30am and 3:30pm (Mon to Friday). Alternatively there is an Enrolment Form you can download, print out and send to us (pdf reader required) with a cheque or postal note for the total amount required. Classes will fill quickly and bookings are essential! Module 1 - Getting Started
Getting started. For those who have no previous or minimal experience using computers. This class includes introduction to Word, email and Internet and covers all the basics. Module 2 - Getting Better
Getting more out of Word, using clipart, email and the Internet. Plus using a USB stick.
Module 3 - Improving
Continuing to improve in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher
Module 4 - Know What You are Doing
Continuing to improve on previous classes. More in Powerpoint, plus CD burning and making photo slideshows.
Module 5 - Advanced
Continuing to improve and explore new programs. Advanced class for those with basic experience.
Book for any 4 computer classes in advance and receive a $40 discount.

Free Internet access for seniors. Learn all of the basics you need for using the Internet to your advantage and how to set up a FREE email account. Volunteers will be on hand to help you get started.

This is a social group for those who have completed our Beginner's classes and wish to continue to improve their skill and learn. Supported by an experienced tutor, group members can exchange ideas, share knowledge and build up their confidence in computing.
