More Community Space forWatsonia Neighbourhood House
Following a long campaign and with assistance from the Neighbourhood House community, Cr. Rick Garotti and Banyule City Council, the neighbourhood house now has the extra space required to meet community demand.
At a cost of $65,000 the installation of the new portable building allows the House to move overcrowded classes to this larger space. It also allows us to expand the existing Program to meet community need and provides additional space for community meetings.

The Committee of Management, staff, volunteers and House users would to thank all those involved in the project. On a day of 41°C Banyule Council Staff, contractors and tradies worked all day long to get the job done.
The Committee is planning an official opening of the classroom in March (date and time to be advised).
Watsonia Neighbourhood House is funded and supported by the Victorian Government - Department of Human Services and the Banyule City Council.
